In the coverage arena, we counsel insurers on all aspects of personal, commercial, and professional liability coverages. Our work has generated noteworthy appellate decisions, including Mercado v. Allstate (9th Cir. 2003) 340 F.3d 824; Berry v. Commercial Union Ins. Co. (1996) 87 F.3d 387; Monteleone v. Allstate Ins. Co. (1996) 51 Cal.App.4th 509; Austin v. Allstate Ins. Co. The firm handles all facets of property claims including investigation, coverage opinions, appraisal proceedings, and trials. It has a depth of experience in handling arson, theft, and other suspicious claims.

The firm also renders coverage advice to public entity JPAs -- risk sharing pools among public entities that operate to provide liability coverage to their members. The firm's services include handling the interrelationships among JPAs, their members, and their excess insurers.
